Biography and purpose
Dedicated Computer Scientist and Educator with over a decade of experience in teaching and multi-level institutional engagement. Having recently completed a Ph.D. in Computing Science, my research focuses on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and social impact. I possess advanced competencies in Data Analysis and App Development, with a primary research interest in optimizing NLG and Generative AI for deployment in Low-Resource settings.
Lecturer and Researcher in Computing Science
With a research footprint rooted in real-world constraints, Iniakpokeikiye Peter Thompson develops AI systems that excel under pressure; whether dealing with intermittent connectivity or sparse metadata. His end-to-end approach to computer science is best exemplified by his work in smartphone telematics: from engineering dedicated Android data-collection apps to building dual-component NLG engines that deliver understandable, culturally relevant feedback to drivers. Iniakpokeikiye’s expertise also extends to Semantic Web and Ontology Engineering, a foundation that informs his current focus on making complex data analytics accessible and actionable for end-users.
Moments and milestones
Scholarship, innovation and public impact
My career has developed across teaching, research, software development, mentoring, public engagement and enterprise formation. I am interested not only in producing knowledge, but in what happens after knowledge is produced: whether it improves a system, becomes a useful technology, develops people, supports an institution, creates sustainable economic value, or contributes to a more responsible society. This is the thread connecting my research, teaching, innovation work and public-impact agenda.
01
To become a globally recognised Nigerian scholar-innovator and civic voice who transforms research and academic knowledge into sustainable products, enterprises and public value, while advancing a culture of lawful, ethical and responsible citizenship that helps produce leadership committed to the common good.
02
To bridge scholarship, innovation, enterprise and citizenship by turning research into practical solutions and sustainable ventures, developing people who can create and lead responsibly, and promoting a culture of integrity, lawful conduct, civic responsibility and service to the common good in Nigeria and beyond.
03
