Responsible Citizenship, Ethical Leadership and the Common Good
Public institutions cannot be sustainably improved by leadership reform alone; the habits, expectations and conduct of citizens also shape the leaders and institutions a society produces. Through the Office of the Nigerian Citizen, I am developing a non-partisan, evidence-based civic education platform that helps Nigerians understand rights, duties, laws and responsibilities, practise integrity in everyday life, engage public institutions constructively, and strengthen the culture from which future leadership emerges.
The Office of the Nigerian Citizen is non-partisan. Its civic education and commentary are grounded in law, evidence, responsible citizenship and the common good, not allegiance to a political party or candidate.

Editorial charter
- Non-partisan: no party campaigning, covert political persuasion or paid endorsements.
- Evidence first: factual claims should be traceable to primary law, official data or credible evidence.
- Separate law from opinion: clearly label moral commentary, interpretation and personal argument.
- Fairness: represent legitimate competing views accurately where issues are contested.
- Corrections: publish corrections when factual errors are identified.
- Respect: criticise actions, policies and ideas without dehumanising individuals or groups.
- Sponsorship transparency: disclose funding and never allow a sponsor to purchase editorial conclusions.
- Privacy and safety: do not expose private citizens unnecessarily or encourage unlawful confrontation.
