Newsletter signup stores your email address, the professional and Public Impact topics you select, consent time, confirmation state and unsubscribe state. Subscription changes require confirmation through an emailed link. Professional and civic preferences remain separate, and you can unsubscribe through the preference link.
When a resource uses email-based access, the site records the email address and access transaction needed to deliver and audit access. Email delivery, hosting infrastructure and a configured payment provider may process the minimum data needed to provide those services. Links to external websites have their own privacy terms. External AI processing for a student document is disabled unless a supervisor records the applicable policy and consent basis for that document.
Records are kept while needed for the purpose described, administration, security, academic-record integrity or applicable legal obligations. Unconfirmed newsletter requests expire; unsubscribed status is retained to honour the opt-out. You can ask about correction or deletion of eligible personal information through the contact form. Some supervision, transaction or audit records may need to remain intact.
